As you may find, quite a few of these caps represent folks changed against their will.  The saying goes, "When you play with fire...."

In these cases, it's not a death sentence, just a new outlook or position on life.  So, I'm ok with it.

Captain Pike Would Have Said Yes

I think Captain Pike would have said yes to this new procedure if they had it.  The girl that was left back on the planet was very nice looking for sure.  But was that really a place to raise a kid?  Big floppy headed short aliens as your Grandparents?  With their technology, they may have been able to change their appearance and make everything work, but it wouldn't have been quite real.

I see that my caps have some non-voluntary themes to a few of them.  The way I see it is that the Men knew they were playing with a very hot fire before they took GenXtd or put on a suit, or used magic.
Their time was up and they got burned.  It was problably what they really wanted anyway but were afraid to admit it.
That is my story and I'm stickin' to it.
ps. (Real life...Rape in any form=bad. I get it.)
